Rescue Outreach Mission was founded in 1986 by Mother Blanche Bell Weaver while she served as pastor of the Rescue Church of God. Mother Weaver saw desperate people in her community living without the basic essentials and with the support of her church and its members she set out to help those in need. The mission now focuses on helping men and women return to self-sufficiency by providing transitional housing and case management.
Rescue Outreach Mission is a 501(c)3 corporation. Major funders include the Heart of Florida United Way, Seminole County, Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, Disney, Orlando Sentinel McCormik Foundation and numerous other foundations, churches, service clubs, businesses and individuals.
